United States Would Soon Make Public Some Classified Information About UFOs Or UAPs

Unidentified flying object (UFO) or unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) is one of the most successfully preserved secrets by govts across the world. As technology and modern cameras were not available in the 1940s, it was easier for the govt to cover up incidences like Roswell. The Roswell incident refers to the July 1947 crash of a UFO that was originally reported as a UFO crash but was subsequently covered up as a weather balloon. In fact, on July 8, 1947, Roswell Army Air Field issued a press release stating that they had recovered a “flying disc” from a ranch near Roswell. But the Army quickly retracted the statement and instead said that the crashed object was merely a conventional weather balloon. In late 1970s, a retired Lt. Colonel, in an interview with a UFO researcher, first admitted the weather balloon account had been a cover-story. Despite best efforts of govts across the world, whistleblowers and researchers continued to prove that UFOs exist but govt preferred to keep it a secret close to its chest.

As technology advanced and UFOs sightings increased significantly, it became impossible for govt to keep them as secret. In fact, during the Covid-19 pandemic UFOs have appeared in record numbers and labeling researchers and whistleblowers as conspiracy theorists and tinfoil hat maniacs would not help govt anymore. The truth is out there and now there is no option but to give a scientific explanation to the UFO scenario as national security perspective is also involved. If a UFO can do whatever it likes in any sovereign territory and there is nothing that nations can do about it, this is a serious national security threat too.

While giving a scientific explanation to UFOs we must go as back as 1940s and start examining the records and testimonies of people who reported about such UFOs and their paranormal activities. It would be naive to presume that UFOs is a recent phenomenon when it is clear that they have been sighted at least since 1940s. As the stigma of reporting UFOs has faded away due to incessant efforts of whistleblowers, it is appropriate that maximum number of people who have UFOs and related experience come forward and explain their experiences. It is also futile to rely upon govt reports and documents as they were designed to cover up and counter all UFOs and extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI) related accounts.

It is equally important to engage real scientists and use real science instead of using fake scientists and fake science to once more cover up this issue. Also blowing hot and cold at the same time would only make things worst. We cannot claim that UFOs may be man made or alien made at the same time and in a single document or observation. If UFOs are man made, we must clearly establish which country, organisation or individual has made them. If we cannot clearly and convincingly establish a human involvement, there is no escape that such UFOs are alien technology and we must prepare ourselves accordingly.

We also need techno legal regulatory norms at international level in this regard so that we have transparency, accountability and legitimacy to any further initiatives and projects in the UFOs and ETI fields.

Meanwhile, United States has decided to make public some portion of its research, documents and findings about UFOs though deliberation upon ETIs may be ruled out at this stage. Indiana Congressman AndrĂ© Carson will chair a classified briefing about “unidentified aerial phenomena” or UFOs ahead of the Director of National Intelligence releasing a highly anticipated report about the government’s collection, reporting and investigation of UFOs. The Director of National Intelligence was given a time frame to release the report. An unclassified version of the report is expected to be presented to Congress by June 25, 2021.

We must not waste this opportunity to conduct a serious and multi disciplinary research and analysis on the UFOs and ETI fields. A panel of experts from around the world must be constituted that must be granted full autonomy and freedom to do research in these fields. It should be suitably funded and there must be no govt or other interference with its working. The consequences of not doing so would be significant for the humanity that we never would be able to reverse.
